GUADALUPE GOLER first opened her doors in 1984, after moving her young family from Guadalajara, Mexico. With an eye for trend-setting design and having grown up in the shoe manufacturing industry, Guadalupe bravely started her entrepreneurial adventure when she was just 28. With the same passion that built her business from the ground up, she remains committed to delivering the very best products and experience to her customers, all of whom (the nice ones!) become dear friends.
Guadalupe’s passion for her community is fervent. A long-standing member of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe, a leading literacy advocate and a supporter of myriad philanthropic endeavors, Guadalupe always aims to make a difference in our City Different. Her love for fashion is founded in the expression of creativity and empowerment. PAULA GOLER joined the family business at the tender age of 9. Her sense of aesthetic and her background in art history inform her curatorial duties as lead buyer, with Guadalupe, for Goler. You can also find her on the sales floor managing the staff. Her no-pressure, here-to-be-helpful persona makes shopping at Goler a stress-reducing activity. Her passion for movement and fitness give Goler customers an added perk—she knows which shoes you can really stand in all day long.
Her hardworking, handsome boys, Camilo and Joaquin, have been coming to the store since they were newborn. In 2014, Paula finally gave in to ten-year-old Camilo’s plea—he is now the youngest member of the Goler sales staff… on his days off from school and activities. The passion for shoes and service runs strong in this family!
Paula also spearheads Goler’s new effort to celebrate Santa Fe creatives—Reveal: Art Happenings At Goler. Learn more about Reveal.
ALFONSO CAMARENA transplanted from Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico to Santa Fe in 1985 to join his sister and the Goler team. Alfonso’s background in Chemistry paved the way to his role as Goler’s Operations Manager, in which capacity he is constantly calculating how to combine the right people with the right merchandise. Alfonso and Guadalupe are third-generation in the shoe business, built on a last developed by their grandfather in the 1940s.
Alfonso married a beautiful woman, Gaby, whom he met at Goler. It was ‘Love At First Shoe.’ They are now proud parents of two equally beautiful daughters, Nanis and Monse.
He is an enthusiastic and passionate soccer player, a sport that he has enjoyed since he toddled his first steps. He now coaches many youth and adult teams in Santa Fe—all of them called CHIVAS, in honor of his soccer team back in Guadalajara.
He is also an avid generator of Spanish aphorisms and analogies to suit every occasion. Listen carefully for the “daily dicho” when you see him next.
